For those who are even reading this blog, prolly would have been getting updates from Kem. But newayz... it's been almost 3 weeks now since I first got here. I've moved into my apartment smack right in the centre of Melbourne city for ... say about 5 days and now I'm back at my uncle's in the suburbs for 3 days. XP Haha.. You see, I go where the good fewd leads.. XP XP Haha.. nah.. actually I'm back here to kill time 'coz the blardy aussies in RMIT are so blardy unorganised. It seems that they have postponed the commencement of my classes to March 6. I'll upload some pics once I get my internet connection fixed up at my place. Then you'll get to see my ultimately small apartment in which I'm sharing with another sweet M'sian chick called Kim. Now, for those who have yet to know, judgin from what I typed earlier, yes.. June is no longer my hsemate as planned. Due to someone's ignorance, things are the way it is now. I really don't have anything more to say about it. .. Everything is working out pretty well for me. I have wonderful relatives and friends here for me... did I mention wonderful relatives? who bring me out for good food? *grins* who make sure that I'm comfortable here as if I never left home? XP :: 4th March :: I just got back from dinner at the jap rest called Shira Nui. For those who know me, you know that I do not eat raw sushi. Here, I've been getting training courses from my uncle.. haha and have eaten things like raw salmon, raw makarel, raw octopus (not the red disgusting ones.. ), oyster sushi and this raw fish called shiromi. Well, raw salmon is just like how raw salmons taste like.. and the makarel taste like tuna.. the octupus is like.. well.. jelly-ish, the oyster is like a whole lot of jap mayo and shiromi taste just like salmon. :P And they are pretty good. Haha.. I might skip the oyster but I would eat the others again.. *grins* Ohh... I only remembered that I brought my cam and only manage to take a photo of my extremely delicious desert, black sesame creme brulee with fruits and a few small cubes of vanilla ice cream. Haha.. sounds fattening right? It is... XP Ooo.. the black sesame brulee was superb. Mmm...yummmmmiiieeee~ (will upload pics later) Last Wed, was the City Festival at RMIT where all the clubs try to get new members. Mann, I love things like that 'coz there's FREE and GOOD food... despite the long queues. Hahah... I even got a 2 dollar recharge for my prepaid card. Yes.. it's only 2 dollars.. but it's better than getting nothing at all. And on Thurs, we had a bbq by our course lects... sort of an informal gathering before the orientation held yesterday. I might a nice Korean girl called Hyon (not sure if I got the spelling right) at the bbq. She first told me that her name was "Alice" (she pronounced it as "Ah-Lice") but then later told me her real name. She said that before coming here, she studied 3 yrs of high school in New Zealand and no one there could pronounce her Korean name properly thus the nickname for herself. Brave girl I have to say.. she came to Australia all alone.. staying in the suburbs alone and whatmore, she was having probs with her enrollment. Something about the comp. not registering her enrollment. Ah well... I hope to see her around sometime.. though she's a 1st yr student. Hmmph.. maybe 'coz she's a Korean, when I told her that I'm a M'sian, she replyed saying that I look Chinese.. ^_^;;;; So yea.. I had to explain to her that M'sia's a multicultural country.. aihh.. Oo! Apparently, the night market here is only on in Summer. I think it's ending in 2 weeks time. I'm really amazed with the talent these Aussies have. Hand blown glass accessories, air brushed tops, to hand made furnitures...etc. Hehe.. I bought this lovely hand blown glass necklace there. It is in the shape of whitish lizard on a thingy . I couldn't resist. I spotted it and I told myself that I have to have it. It was the 1 and only 1 there! No one will ever have it! And everyone who has seen it said that it was gorgeous. *smiles happily* Besides, if I ever (not that I will) get bored of that necklace I could probably sell it for a higher price since there's none other like it.. hahaha... ! Oh and my faculty building is reallllllllly near to my apartment.. It takes me about 5 minutes to get there from my apartment if I take the open street. If I were to take the side alley, it'll probably take me less but I'm not going to take the risk of going through there even in broad daylight. And as for the main building of RMIT, it takes me slightly less than 10 mins to get there. So it's really convenient for me. To the train station probably takes me about 15 minutes or maybe less. So yea.. I'm pretty use to walking around now (or.. as my best bud puts it, "Bus 11".. meaning walking, 11= legs) Hmm.. I haven't told you guys about my apartment, have I? Well, my apartment is like a social building or something.. They try to make us feel like a big Arrow family. There was that orientation night where they tell us about safety and what not. There's going to be a Housewarming party this coming Fri.... or was it the following Fri.. mm.. ah well.. XP And then, I think there's a Sports Day somewhere. So yea.... I guess it's nice in a way, to know a lil people from my apartment. Almost 90% of the residents there are Trinity students though just like my housemate, Kim. Mm.. as for hotties... woo-hooo! This place is crawling with 'em... XP Esp. the jocks from the Alpine Club. I would definately join that club if I had more guts... I really treasure my body parts you see... thus, I would like not to break an arm or leg just 'coz there's hotties in the club (Alpine club is for winter sports such as skiing, anowboarding..etc) Haha... besides, they are just jocks who only care about the sport, booze, party and girls.. so yea |
